About

Born in the 60s in Middle Georgia, I spent the first 18 years of my life trying to figure out how I was going to get out of there. I didn’t want to go far, though, I just wanted to go to Atlanta.

I had seen the Blender Building, which is what they used to call the old C&S Bank building, on the skyline from I-20 on the way home from Six Flags when I was five or so, and I announced to my Daddy that I was going to live there.

And now I do, or right outside of it, anyway.

I am one of those people who always wants the window seat on the flight back home so I can see it all as soon as possible, and my heart catches in my throat when I drive up the interstate on the way back to it.

But Middle Georgia is still deep in my soul – I hope that you will be able to feel it in the way that I write.

I just randomly happened upon your blog and had to leave a comment. Your blog title said it all since I, too, am a Slattery!
