My friend Lynn is having a baby.

I can’t believe it.

It’s not like this is the first time she’s had a baby, or the first time any of my friends have had babies. Most of them have.

And every time one does, I can’t believe it.

I don’t believe it until the baby actually gets here and is in my hot little hands, yet from the moment I know a baby is forthcoming until the time it is actually born, I am so excited that I can barely stand myself.

I don’t even have to actually be friends with the mother-to-be or father-to-be to be excited about it, I just love it when people have babies.

But anyway, Lynn and Pete are having a Brand! New! Baby! and I could not be any happier. They already have two outstanding children who I love very much, and this one is going to be great too. I can’t wait to see her so I can believe she’s real.
