I didn’t know that in less than twelve hours Mish would send me an email that read, “Holy shit. A plane just hit the World Trade Center.”
Trace and I were roommates at the time and I hollered at her to turn on the news.
We both thought that was one hell of an accident.
Until we saw the second plane plow into the building.
We stared at each other in silence for a second and one of us eventually said, “Terrorists.”
This time ten years ago I didn’t know that in less than twelve hours the whole world would change.
I didn’t know that the need to know my friends and family were safe at all times would become a compulsion.
I didn’t know that most of us would start marking the years by this date, another year survived.
I didn’t know a lot.
Wherever you are, whoever you are, peace.
